The Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival also served as the soft launch for Thousand Oaks Acorn Co. acorn bars, baked, gluten-free treats created by Conejo Valley-based entrepreneur Narda Fargotstein.

"We're taste-testing to try and find out what people like and don't like," said Fargotstein, who with husband Paul Fargotstein served chewy and crunchy versions of the bars made with oats, coconut, ginger and apricots in addition to the titular nuts.
